The Journal of Reproducible Health Sciences supports the San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA). We judge research by its content and by whether others can check it. Where a paper appears, and how often a journal is cited, say little about either.
What this means at JRepHealth
- No journal metrics as advertising. We do not use citation-based journal rankings as a selling point. If we report journal metrics, we show them alongside others, such as decision times and the share of reproduced articles.
- Decisions rest on the paper. Editors decide on the question, the methods, the reporting and the reproducibility of the work. The authors' institution, their publication record and the expected citations play no part.
- Every kind of result counts. Replications and null results are published on the same terms as new findings.
- Open reference lists. We send the reference list of every article to Crossref as open metadata, so anyone can reuse and analyse it.
- Open articles, open code. Articles are published under CC BY 4.0 with their code and data wherever these can be shared, and the reproducibility record states what we reran and what came out.
